The Olin Tuition Scholarship |
Part of our commitment to supporting an academically talented and diverse student body is offering every enrolled student a merit-based scholarship, called the Olin Tuition Scholarship. The Olin Tuition Scholarship covers half the annual tuition for each enrolled student and is awarded for eight semesters of full-time study. This merit-based scholarship is currently valued at $110,000. |
Need-Based Aid |
Olin extends its commitment to affordability by meeting full-demonstrated financial need for all eligible students (US citizen and permanent residents). Additionally, once they are on campus we invite our students to participate in our financial wellness programing, called Helping Oliners Prepare for Economic Success (HOPES). Through this program we help students develop lifelong financial skills that empower them to take ownership of their finances, leverage financial tools, develop an accurate financial vocabulary, make informed choices and navigate their financial landscape after graduation. |
Rima Sullivan is the WIOA Youth Program Director for WorkSource Northeast Georgia. We provide tuition assistance for High School Seniors who plan on attending a Technical College or may be interested in attending a short term training program after graduation. Some of the short term programs that are WIOA approved include Welding, ManufactuReady, and CNA. Attached are a few flyers about some of the programs they cover, but the full list of Eligible Providers and programs can be found on our website at www.negrc.org under the Workforce Development tab. There are eligibility requirements for our program, thus feel free to refer any interested students to Rima Sullivan so that they can review that over the telephone. Thanks. Rima Sullivan, WIOA Youth Program Director. NEGRC Workforce Development.
If you are interested in exploring workforce opportunities starting NOW, this is an incredible opportunity for SCHS students. The Precision Manufacturing and Machining certificate program at Athens Technical College will be offered during the school day and can earn you both high school credit AND help you work towards a certificate. Having a certificate will make you more competitive to employers and potentially start you at a higher hourly pay rate.
If this sounds like it would be a good fit for you, go visit Athens Tech during their Taco Tuesday info session.
If you have additional questions, please reach out to Ms. Justice.
