Harry Potter House Cup Competition Update

At the beginning of the year, the senior class was sorted into the four Harry Potter Houses for a fun House Cup Competition!

The Sorting Hat:

Slytherin --> A-Dem

Gryffindor --> Den-Je

Hufflepuff --> Jo-Rob

Ravenclaw --> Rog-Z

This competition is based off of milestones the students can complete to earn both points for their houses as well as raffle tickets!

House Points Breakdown:

Meet with Ms. Justice → 5 points

Your parent/guardian meets with Ms. Justice → 10 points

Meet with a college rep OR recruiter OR possible employer → 5 points

Go on a college tour OR go to a college/career fair → 10 points

Take an entrance exam (SAT/ACT/ACCUPLACER/ASVAB) → 10 points

Show me your completed resume → 5 points

Participate in an interview for post-graduation employment → 20 points

Complete 1 college application → 10 points

Complete 3 or more college applications → 35 points

Complete the FAFSA → 15 points

Complete a scholarship application → 15 points

Show Ms. Justice your college acceptance letter → 20 points

Soft skills average grade above a 90% → 40 points

Receive a scholarship/grant award → 40 points

Prove enrollment in a post-secondary school → 50 points

Prove enlistment in the military → 50 points

Prove employment (after graduation) → 50 points

The seniors have all been working so hard towards their goals, and this is a way they can earn some prizes! The House with the most points will receive a pizza and ice cream party at the end of the year! Not only will the students earn points for their house, but each individual student earns a raffle ticket for each milestone they complete for a chance to win amazing raffle prizes!

The current point breakdown:

Slytherin --> 2025

Gryffindor --> 2090

Hufflepuff --> 1990

Ravenclaw --> 2460 (Currently in the lead!)
