Welcome Mr. Corbett to The Circle!

Mr. Trent Corbett will be serving Social Circle High School this year as our College and Career Adviser.  This position was formerly held by Ms. Justice who has gone back to college for a school counseling degree!  Mr. Corbett comes in with a ton of enthusiasm to see SC students accomplish their fullest potentials.  Here is a little bit about Mr Corbett:

Mr. Trent Corbett
My name is Trent Corbet, and I will be serving as the College and Career Adviser this year. I recently graduated from the University of Georgia with a degree in Health and Physical Education. Before I got to Georgia, I was lucky enough to
play college baseball at Birmingham Southern College and Piedmont College, but injuries made me stop playing. I have experienced college from both ends of the spectrum, small private college and a big university. I am employed by the Georgia division of the College Advising Corps. The mission statement for College Advising Corps is: College Advising Corps works to increase the number of low-income, first-generation college, and underrepresented high school students who enter and complete higher education. I do more than just help kids go to college. I will also help students, who do not want to go to college, come up with a plan after high school. I want every student to be successful after they leave high school. If that means they go to a 4-year school, 2-year school, trade school, military, or get a job, I am here to be a resource for them in whatever way I can. Down below is a list of my services:

 1 on 1 Meetings
 College applications
 SAT/ACT/ACCUPLACER/ASVAB Registration
 Capstone Projects
 Redskin Period for dual enrollment students
 Parent Meetings
 College Fair
 FAFSA and Scholarships
 College Rep Visits
 College Visits
 Fee Waivers
 Resumes & interview prep
