One Scholarship Application for Multiple Scholarships that Go to One SCHS Student!

For many years in Social Circle, dedicated individuals and organizations have sought to recognize and reward outstanding seniors who are moving forward with their educational plans beyond high school.  This year, those same individuals have expressed an interest in awarding scholarships to Social Circle High School seniors from the Class of 2019.

The following scholarships will be awarded to Social Circle High School students exclusively:
  • Athens First Radford Scholarship for $500
  • Dally Scholarship for $1000 (renewable for four years)
  • Deadwyler Scholarship for $500
  • Pinnacle Bank for $500
  • Rotary Scholarships for Technical College Bound Students, four for $300 each
  • Walton County Foundation for an undisclosed amount
  • Walton County Retired Educators Association for $250
Please know that other scholarships may contact us after this announcement is published, so this list may grow.

This year, we have formulated a common application for students to complete which will put them in the running for each of the scholarships listed above!  One application for seven (or more) scholarships- that makes things easy!

Only students who complete the attached scholarship application will be in the running for these scholarships.  The odds for this scholarship competition are the best around, so do not neglect to take care of this one by April 19th.  If you have questions, email Ms. Justice at christina.justice@socialcircleschools.org.

Senior Capstones- Mr. Kulp's "Dear Reader Letter"

Dear Senior who completed a Capstone Project and turned it in to Mr. Kulp:

I am really enjoying reading your thoughts and seeing what magnitude the future holds with you guys doing the great things that you have actually THOUGHT OUT and PLANNED in these projects.  The ones that I have read to this point have been very good for the most part, and I consider it an honor to get to see into the plan of your life through this activity.  Though it is not the most popular requirement to graduate, this project has ushered students into mapping out the future, and for that, I am so thankful this school requires it.  With that said, I love being the school counselor at SCHS and believe that I am blessed to have a front row seat in seeing young adults grow and make mistakes and develop into strong, young men and women of character.  This is what we are all about at The Circle.

Mr. Kulp
