You have been accepted to college, but your job is not done.  May 1st is the national date where colleges can drop their offer of admission if you do not respond to their offer by sending in your deposit.  Colleges should have sent you an email with the details.  If you are not sure what I am blogging about, and you are a senior who has been accepted to college, a quick call to the office of admissions will clear things up.  We are gonna miss you!

Health Occupations Program this Summer at UGA- Its free.

Dear Educator,

The University of Georgia (UGA) is looking for high-achieving current high school Juniors from diverse backgrounds, for a new summer program in the UGA College of Public Health!  We are seeking your help in identifying prospective students at your high school and letting them know about this opportunity.

The program is called the Pre-Collegiate Summer Institute (PCSI) and is a one-week experience for students interested in attending the University of Georgia and majoring in a health, medicine, or science discipline.  PCSI will take place this summer from July 8th through July 14th in Athens, Ga. on the university campus.  During the week-long experience, PCSI students will reside on campus, receive education in the core areas of public health, and learn how to achieve success in the university setting.  Students will also enjoy fun extracurricular activities, make connections with other program participants, and become more acquainted with the UGA community.  The program is offered free of charge.  Only students who will be high school Seniors during the 2018-2019 school year are eligible.  Please see the attached flyer for application information.  Applications are due by Friday, May 11, 2018.
